Our community has developed a bit of a problem with litter and a general disregard of the appearance of our common areas. Refuse has been found in all streets and common areas, but it has been particularly noticeable in and around the center island area.
Items such a plastic bottles, soda cans, juice-boxes, paper, candy wrappers, cigarette butts, discarded toys, sports equipment and displaced snowplow markers have repeatedly been discarded in the streets and common areas. We’ve also incurred damage to landscaping elements in the common areas.
Please note that both village ordinance and association rules prohibit littering on any street, walk-way or common area. Additionally, it is against these same rules to damage or displace any common property element, including the turf, plants, shrubs and trees. All Homeowners are subject to these rules and are responsible for their actions, as well as those of their children, relatives, guests, tenants and pets.
We respectfully request that everyone observe our community’s rules and do their best to maintain the appearance of (and prevent any damage to) the common areas. Association costs, which we all support through assessments, can only increase further if we can’t find a way to address these issues.
If you happen to witness a violation, please take the time to report it to the management company. If you are a parent, please ensure your child knows not to disturb any common areas elements and that they need to pick up after themselves in the common areas.
As homeowners, we all have a common interest. Let’s all work together to maintain and improve our community so we can all enjoy it and maximize our property values.
Thank you for your cooperation!
