Parking

WARNING - In the fall and spring seasons, Sarah's Glen often becomes overwhelmed by a large number of Stevenson students improperly parking their vehicles on our streets and common area parking spaces. Parking on Sarah's Glen streets and common area spaces is limited to registered vehicles belonging to residents of the Association and guests that are visiting the residents’ homes. Parking in the these areas of the property for the reason of gaining access to Stevenson High School is prohibited. Any vehicle parked on the property in violation of this rule will be subject to removal at the vehicle owner's expense. If a resident witnesses a Stevenson student parking a vehicle within Sarah's Glen, please contact W.L. Seymour with the vehicle's description/license plate information. Additionally, it is a homeowner responsibility to be sure that W.L Seymour has an up to date list of vehicles/plate numbers registered to your town home unit. Other vehicles may be subject to removal if it appears as though they are improperly parked in Sarah's Glen. 

Are vehicles permitted to park overnight on Sarah's Glen streets?
Village ordinance 22-263 prohibits parking on all village streets between 2am-6am. The streets within Sarah's Glen are patrolled by the VHPD and officers will issue tickets for parking violations in Sarah's Glen. 

Homeowners may be also be fined and/or have their vehicles towed, as a result of violating parking rules contained in the Sarah's Glen Rules and Regulations. In certain cases, temporary permission to park overnight on the street may be obtained by receiving advance authorization from both the Vernon Hills Police Dept and Sarah's Glen Property Management.

Parking in designated parking spaces
Overnight parking of currently licensed passenger vehicles is permitted in the limited number of designated common area parking spaces we have. Please note that these spaces are intended to be used for guests visiting a resident's home and should not be used on a routine basis as a parking space for resident vehicles.

Commercial vehicles may park temporarily in designated parking spaces during the normal course of their business. Commercial cars, trucks or vans may not park in designated parking spaces on an overnight basis. 

All parking in designated parking spaces during/following a snowfall is prohibited and will subject the vehicle to towing. Designated parking spaces will also be used as snow piling/stacking locations as conditions dictate.
