Haven't disposed of your Christmas tree yet? An earth friendly Christmas tree disposal program is available from the Lake County Forest Preserve District. The LCFPD offers Christmas tree recycling at several drop off sites until January 31st, 2011. The closest drop off location to Sarah's Glen is at the Half Day Forest Preserve. If you are disposing of your tree through Veolia, only put the tree out on the specific day they are collecting Christmas trees. If you miss this day, do not put or leave your tree on the curb. Your only option will be to take it to a recycling or disposal location
